Times today are much like they were back in the early 80's with people losing their jobs and having to find new employment or careers. This reminds me of how we got started...
There we were 25 years ago, Dale and I were losing our jobs and needed to find work. Our lifelong dream of working with dogs made us paws ;)
Back then we had two little poodles, Minnie and Mac. Despite being adorable they made our lives miserable when we wanted to go anywhere. If we brought them with us they barked all time. Bringing them on the boat only made them too hot. If we left them in a cabin they would get sick. Not to mention the troubles we had if we wanted to go out to eat.
In addition to our two little bundles of joy mentioned above we had 3 labs. Dale, being a dog lover and hunting enthusiast, was spending a lot of time with the labs, working on field training and hunting tests. Each of them became great gun dogs.
Believing that other dog lovers might be having the same need for dog lodging or training, we recognized an opportunity to do what we love. Dale, my dear husband was inspired. The next thing you know Dale went to talk to Greg Wax who ran the Dog pound for Blaine on 109th and Radisson (our original location).
Dale and I converted the facility to Blaine Kennels Boarding and Training. Where we could offer lodging, dog obedience training and gun dog training.
Our first dream realized...my second dream begins. I said to Dale "I can have all the dogs I want and you can't say a thing." :)
To this day he has not said a word. We've raised Labradors, Golden retrievers and German Short hairs. Today my breed of choice is the Goldendoodle, they are the solution to a home free of pet hair and I just love them. After three years of searching Dale found the perfect hunting black poodle, we named Prince Charming. Prince Charming has been bred with a couple our outstanding Golden Retrievers, this breed makes the most wonderful shed free pet, and hunting dog.

If you have a great female Golden Retriever hunter and would like breed her, I'd like a puppy.
