When your pets are boarded at Blaine Kennels, your pet is only out by itself at playtime unless it comes in with another family member or they come in for playtime requesting to play with other dogs. We give them extra special attention by taking them out to go potty three times a day at no extra charge. We do require all pets that come and stay with us to be up-to-date on their shots. Rabies, Distemper combination and Bordetella (Internasal Spray) should be given to dogs at least 10 days prior to boarding and as a yearly shot. Call and check with your veterinarian which shots are given yearly and when they are due.

At Blaine Kennels we are concerned about your dog’s happiness. When you bring your pet to stay with us, please write up something about your pet. Bring their favorite toys for them to play with, special treats for them when we bring them in from going potty. Do they have any idiosyncrasies we should know about? Are they afraid of lightning and thunder storms or they will only drink out of this dish and eat out of this one, etc. We’d like for you to bring their own dishes. They usually eat better out of their own dishes. If your dog is a fussy eater, bring their own food and let us know how much they eat. We do have a refrigerator and a microwave if needed. If your dog needs medication, please put it in a plastic bag with your pet’s name and instructions. If you bring something for your pet to lay on, it must be freshly washed.

Here at Blaine Kennels we feed Iams and Sensible Choice (Lamb and Rice) pet foods. If your pet has special feeding instructions, let us know so that we can accommodate you and your pet. We want their stay to be as fun and comfortable as possible. We are here everyday taking care of your pet.

Fire Safety

On April 18th of 2004, grassfires burnt 700 acres in Blaine. The picture to the right shows a view of the fires from our property. Our facilities at Blaine Kennels were quoted as "fire proof" on the channel 11 news. Blaine Kennels is all brick with a steel roof with the addition of a sprinkler system throughout the entire building. Fire hydrants at both ends of our property give an added level of protection. Feel safe leaving your pet with us at Blaine Kennels!
